Monday Blues

(Zara Mansoor, Islamabad)

An unexpected weekday which forces us to go back to work and kills our joys is "Monday".

Everyone of us feels irritated to get out of bed on Monday Morning. According to a report published in British daily telegraph, stated that on Mondays, people don't crack their first smile untill 11:16am. So, the point is Why most of us gloomy on Mondays? It is probably because after two days of being relaxed we don't find ourselves, adhere to the rules and regulations of the workplace or school. We need time to adjust with this routine but when we starts to adjust ourselves, again weekend comes with its full joy. These two holidays are great blessing for all of us specially for the students and working people. We get some freedom from the rigorous routine of our workplace or school.

Alexander says "It contains elements of depression, tiredness, hopelessness, and a sense that work is unpleasant and unavoidable"

"Monday Blues" is one of the most depressing day of our life but it's our cultural phenomenon and if we would hate it or will feel depressed this would have a negative impact on our performance and as well as the people around us.

All of us needs some extra motivation during work. so, we all should put some upbeat music and let it lift our mood. Music is one of the pretty thing for altering moods. If someone of us is in a slump due to our office work then some pop music would help lift our spirits.

All that's really hit us is that the weekend is over and we are back to the overwhelming ness of mondays.

All we have to do is "to prepare ourselves for Monday on Friday" and "to make a list of things we are excited about to do on monday's night.
"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standards which nobody has expected from you"
