Democracy to Evolve!

(Muhammad Qaiser Shafi, Rawalpindi)

Pakistani politicians must allow the democracy to evolve, rather organizing numerous revolutions and March. March is not the solution of any problem, as it only causes loss and effects economy badly.

Everyone is aware of the March movement from Lahore to Islamabad between 14 and 17 January 2013 and was organized by the Pakistani Sufi scholar Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. During that march, Total shut down has been observed in federal industrial areas of I sector, F sector & G sector. Blue Area also remained closed during the March covering head office of business establishments and private as well as multinational companies. Banks and insurance companies also remained closed in the federal capital. Around about 2500 commercial outlets remained closed. The long march and the subsequent sit-in led by Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran caused the traders of the Blue Area and nearby areas to lose Rs 4 billion, according to reports. Stock Exchange had fallen by 429 points due to the unrest and recent political developments caused by Dr Tahirul Qadri's long march.

As PTI Chairman Imran Khan, has also announced date of Azadi March .i.e 14th August 2014. If they do march, definitely we will have to face shut down of commercial outlets, banks and other multinational companies. Our important consignments will not be delivered on time. This will surely have bad impact on traders & they will have to bear loss in billions and there are chances exchange may fall due to political unrest. As our economy is already in shambles and these revolutions and marchs will badly effect it.

Here need is to strengthen our political system and resolve interpersonal conflicts by table talks rather than going for revolutions, strikes or march.
