The frontier corps (F.C.)
launched a fresh military operation in mashkay area of awaran District on 25th
December which caused extraordinary casualties.The area where the operation
launched is hometown of dr. allah nazar baloch, presumed head of the baloch
liberation front(B.L.F.),the motive behind the awaran operation is to kill or
capture Allah nazar.
According to sources the security forces have kept the civilian population under
absolute siege, disconnecting and disrupting all forms of communication and food
supplies to the communities to the communities dwelling in the remote district
of Baluchistan and also not allowing rescue team to collect the injured. in
addition media reports that the security forces killed more than twenty people,
including women and children.
some question come our mind who is behind the operation, the f.c. says it
conducted the operation on the instruction of Baluchistan government the
provincial government has neither conformed nor contradicted the f.c. claim.
only one official, haji ali madad jattak, Baluchistan minister for
communication, has said that the government has not allowed the operation.
if we see the past years several operations were launched in Baluchistan, there
was not any positive result of that, it is-not only increase hatred among the
people of Baluchistan against Pakistan establishment, but also strength the
Baluchistan liberation struggle. the frontier corps (F.C.) says it is taking
action against baloch liberation groups and sarmarchar operate from mountainous
areas far from civilian population, there is no justification and right to kill
innocent people, extra- judicial arrests and burning of people's houses.
The government of Baluchistan should take appropriate measure to stop this
operation and atrocities which is violation of international human rights if
they will not take any measure to stop operation, they can face more difficulty
to settle the Baluchistan issue in future because the Baluchistan issue can be
resolve only through political way.
