Youm-e-Takbir is celebrated as a national day in Pakistan on May 28 in commemoration of Chagai-I and Chagai-II when Pakistan detonated six nuclear devices in response to India's five detonations of Pokhran-II in 1998, 17 days after the incident. In the Islamic world, instead of applause, often someone will shout Takbir or Nara-e-Takbir (in Urdu/Persian) and the crowd will respond Allahu Akbar (God is great) in response.
