Pakistan was demanded as a
separate state for muslims of the subcontinent where they can live in peace
while practicing their own religion Islam in true letter and spirit. It did come
out to be a country not only for muslims but people from other religions
including christians and hinduswere allowed to live and practice their own
religion and enjoy equal rights, as any other muslimpakistani.As religion of
Islam always supports and advocates peace for all people living together may he
or she be from any religion. No body in Islam can enforce his religion upon
anyone from any other religion. This was the message,given to all the muslims by
the last and the dearest Prophet of Allah Almighty. Overs the years,
particularly the last one decade or so, Islam has been highly recognised as a
religion which promotes extremism and voilance all over the world and its been
considered a threat to humanity in the west. Where the west is particular and
world in general need to havea closer look and understanding of this religion,
they will exactly come to know the true meaning of Islam. The best way to
understand religion is to study its divine source and Islam’s divine source is
the Quran, which only promotes love, tolerance, sacrifice and peace.
If we canhave a quick glimpse of the recent history, one exactly comes to know
about the real extremist and terrorist in this world. Talking just about 21st
century, USA who first started bombing Afghanistan to kill someone whose
existence is doubted by many, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent
civilians, now searching for a safe departure from a decade long war torned
country, leaving all the mess to its poor people. The USA then started imagining
threats of WMD in Iraq and considered this to be yet another threat, invaded it
in 2003. While the ultimate goals were only clear to Americans themselves, the
sufferers were again the people of the country who were killed in thousands
during US bombings. Talking about the 19th century WWI and WWII both were too
not initiated nor fought by muslims. Germany invaded France and Russia in WW1
where Britian also sided with French against the Germany. Overall the war left 8
million people dead. Again in WWII, thePowerful Germans invaded Russia and
Imperial Japan went on against the Communist Chinese and furtherBritian and USA
allied with the French against the Nazis Army, this been the bloodiest war in
world history left around 55 million people dead.Hitlor butchered about 2/3rd of
Jewish people during WWII, fearing them as existential threat to Nazis. Not to
forget the nuclear attack against the Japanese in the same war, vanishes
complete generation of that country. If we still want to move further backwards
into the history then we only recall the Crusaders who took off to invade
present day Palestine in 11th century where Muslims, Christians and the Jews
lived together in peace only till then. The crusaders arrived there and killed
40,000 people including muslims and Jews.
Do we need to find out if any muslim was ever involved in mass killings of the
humanity, history is known to all. Muslims have always been the ones promoting
and advocating peace and love in every part of the world, starting from our
beloved Prophet (PBUH) who has been truly recognised as The Greatest Man in
World’s history, even by the non believers, for his message of love, sacrifice
and peace. Palestine at the time of Prophet (PBUH) and Caliph Umar who took over
after, remained in peace as ever. Salahuddin defeated the crusaders in 12th
century once more peace to Palentine. When the Ottoman empire ruled over major
portion of the world for centuries, they never imposed Islam on Christains and
Jews rather they ensured justice and peace prevail all over the empire.
Infact no religion in this world promotes extremism, terrorism or voilance.
People who don’t know their true religion are the defectors and they are infact
called the Kharijis (expelled from religion), who have always used their
religion for their self-interests. May they were the extremist crusaders then or
many such like organisations now, including few in Pakistan. Such banned
organisations if carry out awful activities in the name of Islam or any other
religion, that cannot be considered as a fundamental of that religion. Just as
extremist Hindus, Christian and Jews whose acts are as awful as of few ignorant
Muslim groups.Muslim leaders and scholars all over the world condemn any
unlawful activity in the name of Islam.Pakistan is an Islamic country which
denounces terrorism, extremism and intolerance in their all forms, and this has
been made clear to the world powers at all forums. Where the world needs to keep
extremism away from religion which is common to all religions, it also should
acknowledge the heavy sacrifices rendered by Pakistan during this era of
extremism.
