Though, I was looking for
something to write; so many ideas, manifolds stories, lot of topics were
hovering in my mind, but none of them were drawing my attention; yet I needed
something which could be written from heart, not by hand. I pressed rewind
button of my memory several times, but none of anything wanted to be part of
paper this time.
I was so restless, all of a sudden; four words hit my ears, “we are not alike”,
a boy was yelling it to a girl, over and over.”We are not alike, what does that
mean? How we are not alike? Which made us to be so different? How can we be
alike?”, She uttered.
I don’t know, what was running between them, why was he so aggressive and
bellowing on her; I thought for a moment, ignored and moved ahead.
But, what I know is that; Allah has created this universe, He created different
kind of creatures, and He created human beings; the one and the only creature,
superior to all creatures. We, as humans have somehow similar traits; we eat,
drink, sleep: We all have common attitudes; we smile, laugh, cry: All of us have
common physic; bearing eyes, hands, feet, heart, mind, and so many others.
We possess familiar characteristics, yet, we are not alike……
None of the humans in this entire universe, in a state, in a region, in a city,
even in a family are alike. Not any of siblings, not two partners in a
relationship, not either the child to their parents, neither the twins, no more
the conjoined twins are alike.
We hold unusual attitudes, disparate feelings; we born with non-identical
destiny and fate; we explore life distinctively; not even our life histories,
our present, past or future is akin; we differ in choices and opinions; we don’t
not love alike; we don’t think alike.
It’s all about our mind, soul and heart which makes us to be divergent.
With all differences, the traffic of life is flowing on its way; also we are
living together with people with non-identical mindset; even siblings live under
same roof with parents; with the facts that conjoined twins cannot not be
separated, but they spend life together forever; in spite of all variations, two
partners tie to knot; even the relationships grow well with time.
Not to be alike does not mean that; life would stop, we would stop venting in
incompatible atmosphere, we would stop walking with each other or we would
dither to develop relationships.
Life is all about the acceptance; accepting attitudes, thoughts, choices and
opinions of others; it’s all about building the relationships on the single
brick of likeness with so many dislikes. It’s all about sharing; contributing in
relationships; when you accept others, then you begin liking others; and when
you begin liking others, intrinsic connection between your heart and mind with
others starts rising.
This is how the humans in the entire universe, in a state, in a region, in a
home, and in relationships are living together.
We are divergent; we are not alike; yet we accept, adore, like and survive.
