Every Muslim comprises faith in all Prophets of God (Peace be upon them all). In
the words of Holy Quran:
“Indeed, we sent our apostles with clear signs and sent down with them the Book
and the Scale (balance of right or wrong) that mankind may stand forth in
justice…..”
(Sura Al0Hadeed 57, 25)
Hazrat Muhammad’s great personality (Peace be upon him) is the centre of
affection, love and respect, for every muslim. He is infect a beloved
personality’ of the creator and of the creatures too. Almighty Allah tells us:
“Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honors, Blessings and Mercy) on the Prophet
(Muhammad PBUH) and also His angles, “O” you who believe! Send your Salat on him
and ask. (Allah to grant him) peace.”
(Sura Al-Ahzaab, Verse 56)
The very meaning of the name: “Muhammad” (PBUH) is, “someone who is praised
continuously.” Absolutely, his sacred name is praised everywhere in Azaans,
Duroods and Prayers in the world. It is He )Pease be upon him) who epitomizes
human perfection from every angles, Almighty Allah praised him as “a Mercy to
entire universe”. How beautiful depiction is about him in poetry.
He is very Paragon of Perfection, The light of his countenance dispels darkness;
His very elements are beautiful; Invoke blessings on him and his descendants!
Allah has saved life-history of His beloved Prophet (PBUH) just like He has
saved the verses and suras of The Holy Quran. A Writer “John Devenport” writes
about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
“There is no doubt that among all lawgivers and conquerors, there is not a
single in moral details and authenticity than that of Muhammad (PBUH),”
(An Apology for Muhammad and Quran, London, 1869)
Our Holy Quran says,
“In the Apostle of Allah, you have indeed a beautiful pattern (of conduct).
(Sura Al-Ahzaab 33, 21)
No doubt, every aspect of his personality is worthy to be followed. He is a
personality in the world, on whom the largest number of books have been written.
He is latest in the sacred chain of Holly Prophets (Peace be upon them all). His
glorious character was praised even by his enemies. Almighty Allah explain the
purpose of sending the Prophet (PBUH).
“Verily we have sent you (O Muhammad PBUH) as a witness, as a bearer of glad
tidings and as a warner. In order that you (O Mankind) may believe in Allah and
His Messenger (PBUH) and that you help and honor him and glorify (Allah’s)
praises morning and afternoon.”
(Sura Al-Fatah 8, 9)
Therefore, in the light of these verses, it becomes the duty of mankind to help
and honor the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and enhance his noble mission “to
convey humanity the sacred message of god.” Here, we stop for a while and think,
what is going on in the world these days? French weekly mag “Charlie Hebdo” has
caused big offence to Muslims by hurting their sentiments and sensibilities and
called it “ freedom of expression”? How low and sick mentality is this to mock
or insult such “A noble Personality” whose sanctity and dignity has been
acknowledged by all unbiased scholars in the world? How dual standards are being
witnessed euen in the matter of this so-called freedom of expression,! Here is
the incidence of “Maurice Sinet” who works under the pen name science in the
satirical weekly “ Charlie Hebdo” , faced charges of “inciting racial hatred”
for a column he wrote in 2009. The piece of writing sparked a slanging match
among the Parisia Intellegentia ended in his dismissal from the magazine! (FB-Talk
Islam Jan,14).
By publishing such insulting caricatures of the Noble Prophet (PBUH), the French
magazine has aroused anger, anxiety and caos in the Islamic world. On the one
side demonstrations, rallies, marches and protests happening continuously all
over the world,. Our hearts bleed, over eyes are filled with tears. While on the
other side, attack by Kouachi brothers on “Charlie Habdo” has become a cause of
arising “Islamophobia” in non-muslims and now muslims are under their attack.
They are being wounded and even murdered. However, west is responsible this time
for this blasphemous policy. It has happened before some years in Denmark where
the notorious newspaper “Jyllans Posten” has published blasphemous caricatures
and now the French weekly is doing this heinous crime. A German Scholare
“Immanul Kant” had said, “I am free to move my hand but the freedom of my hand
ends where your nose begins.”
Even UNO’s charter of Human Rights does not de-link freedom of expression from
the law of land and from values of society. Many European countries have
“Blasphemy Law”. In Denmark there is Law of Libel and Slander’ to defend every
citizen’s repute. It’s a crime in seven countries’. In England, it’s a crime to
insult the Queen. In Russia its crime to insult Linen. In France even street
prayer is banned. In many countries, listening of loud music is forbidden at
home too because it disturbs others. Its forbidden to press horn loudly on
roads, Its forbidden to play loud music while driving on highways. How strange
that in case of Muslims, this “forbidden freedom of expression” works at large.
If we analyse Christian and Jewish laws, we come to know that “blasphemy is an
unforgivable crime”. According to Bible, punishment of blasphemy was ‘burning
alive’ or killing by throwing stones. In new testament, we find these words:
Wherefore, I say unto you ………. But to blasphemy against the Holy Christ, shall
not be forgiven unto vnen.”
(Mathen 12 , 31)
So, in Islam, the punishment to the person who insults any religion or Prophet
is ‘death’. The prophet of mercy, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) has sentenced that very
punishment to the criminals of blasphemy. Recently, Pakistan Foreign Office
spokesperson, ‘Tasneem Aslam’ said about that incident of French Mag,
“ We believe that freedom of expression should not be misused as means to attack
or hurt public sentiments or religious beliefs.”
Moreover, Pope Francis has also condemned that publication of caricatures.
Turkish Government expelled French Ambassador from Turkey as a protest. Pakistan
President Mamnoon Hussain also condemned and protested over French Mag’s policy.
Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan announced million marches of public in the country. But,
no strong measurement can be appear from Muslim Governments of 57 Islamic
States, alas, yet now. When we look towards the western world, adding fuel into
fire, forty European countries’ states person gathered in Paris on 11th January
to encourage ‘Cherlie Hebdo”. British Premier, David Camron went too far by
saying that, Media has a right to publish whatever it feels dangers from!.
However, truth can not be hidden. The statement of ‘Jean Le Pen’ is indeed an
eye-opener for the world. ‘Jean Le Pen’ is the founder of “Front National
Party”, who has declared the Kouachi brothers attack on French mag, a conspiracy
of Amercian and Jewish secret agencies, He said that he has proofs of it.
The matter is becoming worse and worse because the French ma has been revealing
more provocative caricatures and many international agencies of Europe have
announced to provide financial support to ‘Charlie Hebdo’. In such decline of
morality of west, Muslim Countries need to ponder over the defence of their Holy
Prophet (Peace be upon him). A joint action is needed by Muslim Ummah to stop
western world from their savage policy. Legal action is required too, as respect
for all religious is inevitable for world’s peace. Ummah must have Islamic
Channelss to fight this media-war. Muslims should follow the Sunnah of their
beloved Prophet (Peace be upon him) in such a way, they appear to world, living
examples of beautiful religion Islam. But if the Ghazi Alamuddin, Amir Cheema,
Mumtaz Qadri i.e have billions of alive followers ready to sacrifice their lives
to defend the honor of the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (Peace be upon him), and
there is no better use of our “Atomic Power” for this pious cause!!!
