Women Of The Book

The main object of married life
is that the husband and wife live together honorably and harmoniously in love
and thereby make the home a place of peace and an abode of rest and pleasure.
The criterion for selection of spouse should therefore be unanimity of Ideology
and faith.
Muslim men are allowed to marry women of book because they believe in the chain
of prophets, which include Jesus (PBUH) and Moses (PBUH). Muslim women are not
allowed to marry Jews and Christians because they believe in a chain of
prophets, which does not include Muhammad (PBUH).
