Having children is a thing but
to raise children and make them enabling and positive citizens is totally
another matter. The responsibilities of parents are not confined upon only
feeding children but also to educate them in all respect through their
characters, talking, behavior, ethics and deeds because children first learn
from the laps of their parents. If the domestic atmosphere is pacified, soothe
and prayers for the consent of Allah are common, it will put deep, sound and
positive impacts upon children otherwise negative, depressing and dark which
spoil the children and they become burden over the society.
Infants become teen-agers in no time and the responsibilities of parents
increase manifold because the teen-age is the orientated age and in this age
parents have to watch them not only domestically but also externally by
observing their company – their talking and behavior namely: what they eat – to
whom they meet – how their friends are – what they like to see – at what time
they use internet – how they behave others including parents – if they want to
remain in company or in isolation - how much time they remain out from homes -
how their studies are going on – whether they expend time in the way of Allah or
not – whether their nature is helping the poor or not – whether they care their
siblings or not and all other relevant deeds and behavior should also be
observed minutely by parents. It should be kept in mind that activities of
teen-agers reflect or determine their future – if activities are positive their
future will be positive otherwise not. It is an orientated approach age so deep
care by parents should be carried out upon their teen-agers children so that
they could not spoil and become the cause of defame and hardships for their
parents. Parents should also keep in mind that they will be sternly asked by
Allah in the DoomsDay about the training, teaching and guidance of their
children whether they have tried to make their children upright by informing
them the instructions of Allah and His Prophet because good deeds of their
children will weight after their death and bad deeds of their children may lead
them to Hell. Allah may protect all of us and give courage and skill through
which we could coach our children for transforming them to true Muslims and
decent persons. In this way we may get dual pleasures – not only in this world
but also in the day of final judgment. Allah may help us Aameen.
