Banana is a fruit that comes in a variety of colours and sizes although the most common have yellow skin. All banana varieties are classified as either sweet bananas or plantains. Banana have more calories and sugar then most fruits but they are packed with important nutrients ' particularly potassium and vitamin B6 as well as vitamin C magnesium and fiber. Potassium rich foods like bananas have been proven to help lower blood pressure and protect against stroke and heart disease .Bananas also benefits people with gastrointinal tract issues. Banana ripen at room temperature after fully ripening they can be stored at room temperature for one or two days .Ripe bananas can be kept fresh in the refrigerator for three to five days though the skin will turns dark brown. Bananas and plantains are safe frozen for about two month. Banana contains three natural sugars sucrose fructose and glucose combine with fiber .Bananas gives a boost of energy. Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough for 90 minutes workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world ;s leading athletes. Banana can help us to keep fit.
