Scolding Drone Strike

(Noshin Bashir, Karachi)

Drone attacks, as everyone knows, are a clear violation of Pakistan's sovereignty. The Central Investigation Agency of United States is on the mission of shelling across Pakistan's territory since 2004. These drones were mainly targeting the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) but now forcibly has reached to Pakistan's hub for natural resouces. .

The most recent killing of Former Taliban's Leader by American's alleged strike in the vicinity of Pakistan's Balochistan province is of concern for our national integrity due to number of reasons:
Firstly, if the person being killed in the strike was Pakistan's NIC. holder though fake, as alleged by certain outlets then killing Pakistani national is a clear violation of Pakistan's constitution.

Secondly, CIA's surveillance in Country's restive province seems more than our security agencies as alleged that they were strange by the time of incident. Thirdly, CIA has spearheaded it's access to the Balochistan starting from the Northwestern Areas. Forthly, How US Department of the State will the driver yet to prove guilty, alongside killing of Mullah Mansour. Fifthly, the US has warned to carry out the attacks of similar controversial nature in Pakistan. Civilians casualities at the hands of unmanned aerial vehicles is perhaps the major consequence of this technique.

Last but not the least is the response of Pakistan's Foreign Office to this serious incident. The FO hasn't dared to vehemently reprove the first ever attack on Balochistan, paving the way for the similar incidents to happen thereafter. It has become the regular response of public representatives to offer tiring lip service on the issues of national concerns. The US-drone strike is something questionable but the Pakistan's response nationally as well as internationally is far more wearying and exhausting. We need to have an active and more concernrd Foreign Office holders to reorient the Pakistan's Foreign Policy in accordance with the directives of the Father of the Nation.
