How To Keep Yourself Hydrated In Summer

Water is a key for hydration. Our bodies consists of more than half water and we use it in almost many body functions from regulating body temperature to removing toxic waste to lubricating joints to carrying oxygen to the cells. That is why we feel so fatigue, moody and dizzy when we are dehydrated.

water is important but we also have other foods to keep us hydrated in summer for example, 1) WATERMELON, this fruit contain 92% water. 2) CUCUMBER composed of 96% of water. It is also rich vitamin K, vitamin B6 and iron. Cucumbers have no saturated fats or cholesterol.

3) STRAWBERRIES contain 91% water, it is a rich source of vitamin C also which helps in the absorption of oxygen in blood.
4) YOGURT, plain yogurt contain 80-85% water. We also get calcium and some B vitamins (namely B12 and ribofalvin) from yogurt .
5) PAPAYA contains 88% of water, this fruit will help us to stay hydrated.
6) MINT gives refreshing and soothing affect in summer.

We should take 8 to 12 glasses of water in a day. We should also include half part of our daily meals with fruits and vegetables just like ideal plates. In summer, we should also plant some trees as to prevent yourself and others from heatstroke specially in cities like Karachi.
