Reading denotes the process of
reading text by reader. Source may be book, newspaper, leaflet, brochure or web,
but the intention to gather information comprises this process. I would like to
drag your attention towards the importance of reading, though I know you are
reading my article. The current strata of youth love to spend their time in
social networks, though it produces much information regarding developments in
friends and families’ circle, but lacks quality learning and information, it
wastes their precious time and energy. These media has prevented them from
reading what is fruitful and needed. I would like to state the beneficial areas
of enhancement as per my perception.
Generally, reading about current affairs, places, inventions, travelogues, news,
articles, and blogs increases general knowledge and keep the reader aware of
latest developments in various dimensions. It will lead to the factual
assessment of future based on amalgamation of diversified happenings. As most of
the novels and stories comprises characters’ life and story, by lightening the
situations and happenings with different dimension. In majority of the cases,
the conclusion seems to be positive but, the story states problems, evolution,
perception and role of negative shadows upon such situations leading eventually
its resolution. Thus, these genres leads the reader to think critically the
possibilities of such situations in one’s life and tactics to tackle such
circumstances. Usually text does not accompanied by pictorial assistance. The
reader have to imagine what the text states into the mind. Thus, imagination
further develops the visionary skills of the reader. The writer uses different
terminologies to elaborate what he intends to, thus, his usage of vocabulary
underlines the meanings of that particular words and leads to memorization of
newly exposure words. Every piece of literature comprises the thoughts and
cultural affiliation of the writer with his society. Leading the reader to
understand about diverse cultures, languages, ways of living, foods, costumes,
traditions, norms, morals etc. It is said that when you read different genre it
develops sense of writing too, as a reader one can judge weather the text is
written in correct order or it has faults in it so while writing a text on its
own helps a lot to avoid those mistakes.
Reading is a reliable way for enhancing knowledge and it does not consist any
age limitations. Anyone can read regardless of any caste, religion, gender. One
can improve his life style based on knowledge through reading. Therefore,
reading makes a person wise.
