Its normal to appreciate , when
a person pursues PhD in a particular field , he is considered to be master of
that . Similarly , a person pursuing a fellowship program after MBBS is also
highly honored . These are two parallel scenarios . Iam juxtaposing , What will
you opine about a person who continued his education after fellowship which was
followed by MBBS , a bachelors degree in Quranic Sciences , then pursuing
Masters and at last Doctorate in Quranic Sciences. Notwithstanding the fact he
is already a qualified and certified doctor before pursuing PhD .
Don't think it to be a joke , it's a reality which was translated by a person
Saudi-National , born in Riyadh and currently residing in the Blessed City of
Prophet PBUH . He is Dr.AbdAllah b.Mohammad b.Sulaiman AlJar Allah whose name is
widely-known in the fields of Quranic Researches and Family Medicine all over
KSA . He is great Qari who specialized in TenVariantReadings and professionally
a family physician . Currently he is Head of the Family Medicine Dept. of Prince
Sultan Armed Forces Hospital Madina tul Munawarah .On the other hand he is a
qualified trainer in Saudi Comission for Health Specialties (The licensing body
in KSA for Medical Doctors and paramedics) for Family Medicine.
Academically he has MBBS + Fellowship (family medicine) + Series of
Bachelors,Masters and Doctorate in Quranic Sciences .He by the grace of Allah
has profound base in the both the types of knowledges.
It will be injustice if I don't mention the great names of Quran-reciters to
whom he completed Quranic Recitations . These great names include :
Sheikh al Qura of MasjidAlNabawi Sh.Ibrahim AlAkhdar
Shaikh Dr.Ali b.AbdAlRahman AlHudaify (Current Imam and Khateeb of
MasjidAlNabawi ) , Shaikh Ahmad Zayyat , Shaikh Ibrahim AlSammanody , Shaikh
Muhyuddin AlKurdi , Shaikh Kuraim Rajih and others .
If you google each and every above-mentioned names and read their respective
biographies then you will be amazed that all these names belong to the highest
class of Qurra in their respective times .
He has books and researches on different Quranic Recitation issues . He has also
presented papers in different seminars and conferences . He researched on book
“إتحاف البرره بما سكت عنه نشر العشره " and was awarded finally Masters .
Correspondingly he researched another book named " غنية الطلبة بشرح الطيبة" and
was awarded Doctorate as a result. Both were from Islamic University of Madina .
It is nothing , but love for knowledge and the type of knowledge which was loved
by him was the best-ever knowledge in the whole Universe . That is the knowledge
of Quran . His Love for Allah's words electrified him and compelled him to
pursue His Love even after professionally qualified .
Sometimes it makes me astonished that How has Allah SWT blessed him with the
terminal educational credentials in Parallel fields of Quranic Sciences and
Medicine , considering the scenario we find it to be hard to be adapted in
wholly in a single field. Then I remember the verse of Quran
(ذالك فضل الله يؤتيه من يشاء ) .
The whole-discussed scenario is for those people who normally opine it to be
disliked to study and balance both religious and secular education. I don't know
the reason which makes them compelled to do so , but I have a firm belief on the
Prophet's saying that , إن الله يرفع بهذا الكتاب أقواماً ويضع به آخرين .
At last I intend to write upon people like him who are acquiring both types of
Knowledge and hence serving both fields simultaneously in astonishing manner .
