21st Century starts with the
innovations of technology which changes the lifestyle completely. The most
popular and breathtaking innovation of 21st century is Mobile and Internet,
which came on the scene in the last decade of 20th century but became favorite
on the beginning of 21st century. Internet and Mobile technology astonished
people quite badly, because before mobile and internet communication is not so
convenient, fast and cheap. Today almost everyone is enjoying these wonderful
innovations of modern world.
Almost 2.5 billion people of Pakistan connected with internet. Unfortunately
majority users are those youngsters who do not know the fair usage of internet
and they are just wasting their time and money. They spend hours on face book,
twitter and other social media sites on which they are commenting baseless
views, editing pictures videos which are considered negative use of internet.
The main reason for this is the negligence of government which fails to provide
playgrounds and other positive activities.
There are no playgrounds for young generation; as a result our young generation
wastes their time on social media sites.
Government of Pakistan will take adequate measures to provide playgrounds which
keep youngsters away from internet and mobile phobia, one wheeling, drugs and
other negative activities. You can’t imagine stopping young generation without
giving replacement. There is an old saying.”A healthy body keeps healthy mind”.
The director of institution of encephalic morbidity Barcelona Spain, Dr. Itgees
stated that first time in the history of institution we are treating those
children who are seriously affected by Internet and Mobile Phobia. The average
ages of these children ranges between 12 to 15 years. They are so badly affected
by internet and Mobile Phobia that they are unable to focus on studies; as a
result they are continuously showing worst results in their class. They became
Psyche case and unable to do any sort of job without Mobile Phone. They are
involved in moral evils and abuses in order to get money from their relatives.
Now they are getting treatment for these diseases which are the results of
modern technology innovations.
More than 125 million Pakistanis using mobiles. Mobile companies introducing
several packages to attract especially young boys and girls. There are different
SMS packages accompanied with hourly talk packages. As a result, young
generation of our country wasting their time on mobiles and they are loosing
their moral values. Young girls give their information and about their family to
unknown persons which claim to be their friends of mobiles and resulting they
are blackmailed from them. Always remember that unfair usage of any technology
causes destruction. A research of an American scientist, Davis claims that use
of mobile causes brain cancer, as the rays of mobile phones damages brain
seriously. Mobile companies are spending millions of dollars to overcome this
issue.
It is requested to parents, particularly to mothers that they should watch the
activities of their children over mobile phones. Parents should give more time
to children and share their activities. Mothers try to attach girls with them
and involved them in household jobs. Slowly the average use of mobile phones
came down and this will bring positive change in our society.
Lastly few words for government authorities, they should establish a check and
balance system. The government banned all types of night packages in order to
control our young generation.
Internet and Mobile Technology is no doubt a blessing of today, but misuse of
these causing serious problems in our society.
