The family pattern has
changed drastically in the present day as compared to family pattern in the
olden days. Previously family pattern based on joint family and the elder people
kept the family collectively in one place as a single family which was run by
the guidance of elder people. And many different people of the family used to
live in same house although the house would be divided according to give
everyone his own share.
But as modernization came into effect the traditional ways started weakening and
the family structure changed newly married couples started living in separate
accommodations although some would keep parents with them in same house but
mostly the new generation favored separation. Old norms and values have evolved
and intermingled with modern traditions thus changing the family pattern itself.
Education is also a main reason that family pattern have changed a lot because
people have become broadminded and parents have become lenient towards children.
Now parents and children relationship is more like a friend these days that is
why the new generation has also changed family pattern according to needs.
