It is hard to comprehend, not
only today but previously was the status quo, the thinking of Pakistani nation,
which party they want to elect in coming elections! Supporters of Imran Khan
whether public or political leaders are eyeing upon Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s
expected success and lots of people terming its recent public meetings or
rallies massive, resembling with Tsunami.
Is it right to call just PTI’s rallies were huge? I think not! If we observe,
various political parties successfully rallied or held their public gatherings
recently for instance, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) staged a rally in Karachi and people
in abundance attended the gathering and the rally was termed successful!
Similarly, Awami National Party (ANP) rallied in Noshehra and the status quo, as
the rally was huge and successful. In addition, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN)
recently held huge public meeting in Gujranwala whereas Pakistan People’s Party
also held a public meeting in Garhi Khuda Bux and both gatherings were termed
successful! So how can one anticipate that PTI or PMLQ or any other parties
could win the coming elections?
Most often, it happens and surely, a lot of people must have observed when an
incident takes place anywhere, people gather to see it, as it is human
phenomenon that they always are curious to know anything strange! And, if a
hundred people gather somewhere, it feels that there are so many people and this
factor cannot be ignored in successful recent rallies or public gatherings
because most probably, a huge amount of ordinary men would have attended the
meetings to know what claims or rhetorical speeches the political leaders were
making!
In 1970s, there used to be better and larger public meetings than today’s
gatherings and definitely, people attended them galore but the reality was
revealed after vote casting. It has happened that when religious parties held
huge rallies and nation largely took part but when elections occurred, few
people cast their votes to religious parties and the parties were defeated
badly. No doubt, Imran Khan would have staged larger meetings recently than
other parties but as fast as his graph was going up, has come down with the same
speed due to embracing already corrupt leaders by Imran Khan! Those who changed
various parties and people called them “Lota”; now feel safe under the shed of
PTI!
Recently on January 8th, All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) amusingly held its
smaller public meeting near mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and
resembled it with earth quake, which is surely amusing and definitely the nation
felt great jerks of this quake! I think this is the first recent rally that
faced failure badly whereas those who attended the rally, allegedly were sent by
MQM, otherwise not more than a thousand people attended the rally possibly! It
feels as various accomplices of Pervez Musharraf joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf,
Pervez Musharraf would soon join PTI too after he returned to Pakistan and if he
bagged a chance and was not arrested!
Anyways, political front in Pakistan is on its peak and it is difficult to say a
bit of word in favour of any parties because time would separate chalk from
cheese and shut the mouths of rhetorical speeches! Let’s see what happens in
future!
