“IT is the backbone for any country to develop….”

IT is abbreviation for information technology. Technology has become a backbone for any country to develop. Great researches in every country are carried out on the TECHNOLGY. It has been emerged in the every field of life. Now a days it seems to be very difficult to spend life without IT. It is found everywhere in daily life you will find it in Educational institutions, Government sectors, hospitals and in business sectors. Looking at current situations of Pakistan it can be predicted that in future Pakistan might touch the peaks of the progress and development in the field of IT.

Information technology in Pakistan is developing very fast, it has the potential to expand even more in the future. Matters relating to the IT industry are overseen and regulated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of Pakistan. The IT industry is regarded as a successful sector of Pakistan economically, even during financial crisis. The first IT policy and implementation strategy was approved under the leadership of Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman FRS, then Federal Minister of Science & Technology in August 2000 which laid the foundations of the development of this sector. In 2001, a 15 year tax holiday was approved to promote the IT industry which has the grown from $ 30 million to over $ 3 billion during the last 16 years. A nationwide program to train teachers was initiated by Intel in March 2002 in Pakistan on the request of Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman which has resulted in the training of 220,000 teachers across 70 districts at no cost to the government. The government of Pakistan has given incentives to IT investors in the country during the last decade, this resulted in the development of the IT sector. From 2003 to 2005, the country's IT exports saw a rise of about fifty percent and amounted a total of about 48.5 million USD. The World Economic Forum, assessing the development of Information and Communication Technology in the country ranked Pakistan 111th among 144 countries in the Global Information Technology report of 2014.As of 2011, Pakistan has over 20 million internet users and is ranked as one of the top countries that have registered a high growth rate in internet penetration. Overall, it has the 27th largest population of internet users in the world. In Pakistan IT is being used in different fields like in Educational institution. In educational institutions it is used for research purpose and knowledge updating. The knowledge of the students is updated with the use of technology. At university levels it is focused but at primary levels it is not considered so well. Due to this reason students at tertiary levels feel difficulties to understand the technology. Technology has also great impact on the economy of the country. It establishes good standard of the business. Technology enhances the business from different angles. Like in banks there is pure use of the technology i.e transactions debit credit etc these all are done with the help of the technology.

Also technology has many other fields where it can be used like hospitals where the diagnosis of the patient is done through technology based gadgets. It has become a very important aspect of this digital modernized and global world.

Problems of IT in Pakistan
There are few problems in the Pakistan that’s why Pakistan is somehow remained backward in the field of the Technology so some of the major issues that are the hindrances in the development of the Pakistan are:
• The main issue of the technology in Pakistan is that it is being taught at the tertiary level (University level) it is not taught at the primary level so from the initial stage of the education students are not familiar with the use of the technology. They don’t know the advantages of the technology and they are not even allowed to be attached with these technologically based gadgets.
• Secondly the unemployment of the youngsters, that is because of the lack in the knowledge of the TECHNOLOGY because they are not so much associated with the IT. And again this is because of the no knowledge of the IT from the primary levels. Students are taught at the university level and then they don’t get the required benefit from the technology.
Solution of the problems
v Start The IT Education From The Primary Level:

• Applying this will increase the literacy rate of the IT Education and its standard from the basic level and the students will be able to know everything about IT from the basic level.

v Establishing The Institutes For The It Education:

• IT experts should be appointed at the institutions where the students can get the knowledge. Separate institutes should be established to enhance the growth rate of the IT in our country.

v Publishing Interesting Thoughts Of The Technology In The Newspapers:

• Through this IT knowledge can be shared and people will be interesting in gaining the innovated knowledge of the IT in Pakistan. And their interest can turn their minds to get knowledge of the IT.

v Advertisements On The Televisions:

• Those parents who are uneducated and they cannot get the advantage of the IT in their lives so giving advertisements in the televisions can aware the parents and make them sure to engage their children in persuading the IT education from different institutes.

v Arranging The Seminars And Workshops On The Importance Of The IT Education:

• Gathering people on the single platform and sharing the interested development and innovation of the Technology with them can create interest in them to get knowledge of the IT. So in Pakistan it is great opportunity to manage such splendid strategies and develop the IT education.
So Artificial intelligence (AI) has seeped into everyday lives of people, and all the developed countries are now engaged in a technological trade war and trying to become a universal boss in artificial intelligence. The highly developed countries had invested billions of Dollars in technology. Advanced technology for fifth generation (5G) wireless networks in Pakistan has been issued last year which would be implemented by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). As 3G/4G service are continuously gaining momentum in Pakistan. Therefore, the very next 5G generation would make sure downloading large size of data within minutes or even seconds. It will assist fulfill a dream of shifting sprinkled cities into smart cities. Up to date 5G trails conducted abroad have already demonstrated the speed of 9.3 Gbps over 24 GHz spectrum, nearly 10 times faster than the theoretical maximum data rate for 4G. International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is going to launch 5G standards in 2019 and on the whole, an immense number of trials and experiments already being held in different parts of the world including Pakistan.
