Free Judiciary Freed Raymond

(Noreen Shams, Karachi)

I didn’t believe myself hearing when my co workers surprisingly broke the news of Raymond Davis release in office. I was just about to leave that time soon I rushed back to my seat and have gone to newspaper site to confirm the news.

And after reading the headline Davis Released I felt something completely gone last ray of hope which I had personally with this country where everywhere I used to hear from people that there is nothing and even after that George episode I never felt that much sadden which I felt at the news of Raymond`s release.

Just after that my mind has gone back to years. I was thinking the Date 16 March has always some significant importance. It was the same day of year 2009 when judiciary restored and soon after that restoration we have seen some positive response from our Free judiciary we actually had attained some expectations with the Judiciary.

And it is the same day when this “Azad Adlia” has released a killer. Whatever the reasons they have given and will be giving in future obviously no Pakistani going to be satisfied with those lame reasons whether its family will who let him freed or he had some diplomatic immunity.

I also feel how propagandists play their role in our society how they successfully play with our minds and even with the sharp media watchdogs. They make us involve in inflation, Petrol prices, political parties statement and deadline news even media eyes keep rolling from one issue to another issue and ultimately they stunningly play the game and win in the end.

I was even surprised to see newspaper today `morning. I have seen no statement from any leaders of country`s prominent parties. I have not seen even a condemnation from any Party `s Quaid. Where the parties have gone who shows deadlock between them and govt but from inside they are everyone same corrupt each others well wishers.

After this incident I am very much in shocked and in deep grief that we talk a lot and a lot but there is no action can be seen in this country. I never feel such feeling before that there is nothing left in Pakistan but today I feel pity for my country what we have made it there is no rule of law , every second person is corrupt and fake , justice is alien thing here and all hopes have been broken today at least mine.
