Reviews & Comments on Govt. Boys High SchoolS Allama Iqbal, F B Area

I was student there between 1975 to 1981 I went back to school in 2002 and was looking for my primary School teacher but no one wanted to help or didn't know any old school teacher. I haven't been back to Pakistan for a while now but would love to see my old teachers Miss Bushra .

I have been a student of Allama Iqbal Govt. Boys Model Secondary School, Karimabad, F B Area, from 1969 to 1972. I joined the school in class 7 and completed my Matric (science) from there. It is now 43 years for me to have left this school. At that time the school was run by such dedicated and devoted teachers like Sir Siddique, Sir Najam, Sir Aftab, Sir Gulzar, Sir Rehmat (none of them is now living I presume). I often become nostalgic to think of those old memories. What a teachers were they! Most of my class fellows have unfortunately slipped out of my memory yet some of them have been able to find a place in my permanent memory. These are Imran Wasi, Irfan Wasi, Mujahid, Zaki, Haneef, Farrukh Saleem (my best friend in the class who is lost now), Jameel, etc.. The AIGBMS at that time was quite maintained. It was built on a 600 square sq yards land. School building and furniture was also new. We had all the necessary facilities - even a water cooler!. Some two years ago i was chanced to be there again for some of my document verification by the School Head Mistress. She was kind enough to cooperate with me and did the necessary verification for me. I requested her to allow me to have a round of the school to help me revive my old memories of the school. With having tears filled in my eyes out of nostalgia I saw the school in a very bad and neglected condition. Most of the classrooms which once echoed with the cheers of the children were now closed and seemed to have been stuffed with "kath kabar". School building presented a haunted look from both in and out sides. The Head Mistress and teachers looked quite hapless over the situation. I doubt that the highups of education even new about the existence of this school, which is being run like a truly "ghost" school. Would any one pay any attention to this. I shall be truly pleased if any of my old class fellows bothers ever to contact me. Syed Muhammad Humayun Ex Student of AIGBMS Karimabad.
