INGREDIENTS

1 lb. potatoes
2 green chillis
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
oil for frying
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
lemon juice
FOR THE GARNISH
Few coriander leaves

METHOD

Cube and boil potatoes. Chop chillis and coriander leaves. Fry mustard seeds in a little oil and when they stop spluttering put in the turmeric. Stir once and then quickly add potatoes, chillis and salt. Fry for 1-2 minutes then add sugar and lemon juice. Fry for a few minutes to brown. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
