Ingredients
  1. • Dates 250 grams
  2. • Butter ½ cup
  3. • Sugar 1 cup
  4. • Refined flour 1 ½ cups
  5. • Eggs 2
  6. • Baking powder 1 ½ cups
  7. • Walnuts 1 ½ cups
  8. • Salt ¼ tsp
Method
  • • Boil 1 cup water in a saucepan
  • • Add de-seeded dates in water and allow to cool
  • • Mix salt and baking powder in refined flour. Grease baking dish.
  • • Mix sugar in butter and beat well with electric beater till blended.
  • • Add eggs one at a time and add 1tbsp refined flour and mix
  • • Add dates with water, refined flour and walnuts and beat well
  • • Put mixture in a baking dish and bake in pre-heated oven at 180 C for 30 minute
