Ingredients
  1. For Cake:
  2. egg 1
  3. sugar 3/4 cup
  4. dark cocoa powder 1/2 cup
  5. 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  6. all purpose flour 1 cup
  7. baking powder 1/2 tsp
  8. baking soda 1/2 tsp
  9. butter milk 3/4 cup (u can make it - 1 cup milk with 1 tbsp lemon juice)
  10. vanilla essence 1 tsp
  11. Now milk chocolate frosting:
  12. semi sweet chocolate 6 1/2 oz (1 cup + 1 tbsp)
  13. confectioners' sugar, sifted 2 cups
  14. milk 1/4 cup
  15. butter, softened 1/4 cup (1/2 stick)
  16. vanilla extract 2 tsp
Method
  • First grease two 8 inch baking pan... and cover it with flour... tap the excess.
  • And preheat oven on 350 F/ 180 C.
  • In mixing bowl, add melted butter add sugar and beat till creamy.
  • Add egg and beat until combined and fluffy.
  • Add sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder and fold them with light hand until all combined.... add butter milk or milk..... mix.
  • Pour them in prepared pans.
  • Now bake them for 20 - 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean...
  • Now milk chocolate frosting:
  • In sauce pan... add chocolate and butter...
  • Melt them until smooth... transfer in mixing bowl and cool.
  • Add sifted sugar... and vanilla and milk.... mix well.
  • You will get a smooth creamy icing.
  • Now layering part: place one baked piece of cake.... spread icing.
  • Put the other baked cake... and cover all over with frosting.
  • I did florest with same icing... and pearls to decorate... chill and serve.
