Chicken Pakora

You might have used many Chicken Pakora recipes but this one is little different and easier, the recipe is defined below in the method column. You can serve Chicken Pakora with ketchup, Chatni as you like. Use of Chicken Pakora is common in Ramadan on Iftar table. On other days Chicken Pakora uses as snacks with tea in the evening.

chicken boneless (bite size) 1 cup
• soy sauce 1 tbsp
• chili garlic sauce 1 tbsp
• salt a pinch (if required)
• lemon juice 1 tsp

• For batter:
• gram flour (besan) 1/2 cup
• salt 1/2 tsp
• baking powder 1/2 tsp
• water to make paste
• oil for frying

First marinate chicken with soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, salt, and lemon juice.

Keep the marinated chicken in fridge for minimum 1/2 hour.

Then in a mixing bowl, add gram flour, salt and baking powder.

Make a thick paste with water.

Then, dip each piece of marinated chicken in gram flour mixture and deep fry in medium hot oil till chicken tender and get a good golden color on top.

Put them on paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Serve with ketchup or with your favorite chutney and enjoy.

Great recipe , I used vegetables ,cauliflower / potatos` , was my first time making pakora`s but the sauce mix was fantastic and think it goes great as a coating , whether it would be a veg or meat based pakora , just a warning to others like me , your eyes will water when your peeling and chopping the onions and the chilli , the vapours really irritate your eyes and they water " WARNING " DO NOT RUB YOUR EYES , i even rinsed my hands under that water tap before rubbing but the residue was still on them and my eyeslids were burning ,will certainly make it again ,this time I`ll not rub my eyes , :-)

Just tell me that the chicken which I marinate is it boiled chicken or just rinse water and than marinate it in sauce.

Last time I prepared chicken pakora according to this recipe but I add some more ingredients in this recipe, the taste of chinese salt make it more tasty.

I tried the recipe of chicken pakora in the Shab-e-Baraat roza, I think I got success but it was too much crispy like a Papar. Every body like this pakoray.
