my son get 74% marks (A GRADE) in pre-engineering he was given entry test for BE prog. in
N. E. D. University and passed the entry test. but his name was no in the call list as the
percentage closed on 78% this year. He was very hopefull about his admission and now
is frosted about his carrier. Please give some suitable suggestion for him so that his year
is not wasted. THANK YOU.

{in my personal opinion} you should motivate him as well as you can or simply ask him to watch motivational lectures by different expert.i will suggest you a well known personality Qasim ali shah on youtube.
secondly, if he dont want to waste his year then he can either take admission in another university or he can spend his one year by doing simple bsc in order to have touch with studies and apply next year for engineering.
i want to mention here, that era has been past where we used to say that university matter very much...no no.. except some universities like king edward for medical,uet and nust for engineering, lums and iba for management ,there is no way to say that uni matters. IN THIS ERA IT IS JUDGED WHETER YOUR SON KNOW WORK OR NOT AFTER DOING ENGINEERING.....thats all
