مگر دیواروں پر کندہ کیے پھولوں میں
کبھی خوشبو نہیں مہکی
محبت روح میں تب اترتی ہے
جب غموں کی ریت اور آنسوؤں سے
ہم اپنے اندر شکستگی تعمیر کرتے ہیں
جس قدر بھی ہنس لو
نجات کا کوئی راستہ نہیں
تم محبت کے گنہ گار ہو
سو غم تمہاری ہڈیوں میں پھیلا ہوا ہے
اپنے عمیق تجربے سے بتاؤ
ایک محبت ماپنے کے لیے
ہمیں دوسری محبت کیوں تلاشنا پڑتی ہے
میں جمع ہو کر کم پڑ گیا ہوں
کہیں ایسا تو نہیں
ارتقا کی جلد بازی میں
میں نے دو نفی جوڑ لیے ہیں
