کس شہر میں ہم اہل محبت نکل آئے
اب دل کی تمنا ہے تو اے کاش یہی ہو
آنسو کی جگہ آنکھ سے حسرت نکل آئے
ہر گھر کا دیا گل نہ کرو تم کہ نہ جانے
کس بام سے خورشید قیامت نکل آئے
جو درپے پندار ہیں ان قتل گہوں سے
جاں دے کے بھی سمجھو کہ سلامت نکل آئے
اے ہم نفسو کچھ تو کہو عہد ستم کی
اک حرف سے ممکن ہے حکایت نکل آئے
یارو مجھے مصلوب کرو تم کہ مرے بعد
شاید کہ تمہارا قد و قامت نکل آئے
