Shoaib Mohammad is born in January 8, 1961 at Karachi is a former Pakistani cricketer who played in 45 Tests and 63 ODIs from 1983 to 1995.
Shoaib is the son of former Pakistani cricketer Hanif Mohammad. Shoaib was a right-handed batsmen who represented the country until the mid 1990s. He is currently involved in development of cricket in Pakistan and is coaching and taking trials on behalf of Pakistan Cricket Board.
Usually an opener, like his father, he restricted himself mainly to off-side shots, and his cover-drive was the sweetest of the lot. A front-foot player, Shoaib scored five of his seven Test centuries against the pitch-it-up bowlers of New Zealand. He was outstanding fielder who was as comfortable in the covers or deep on the leg side as he was under the helmet at short leg.As an occasional offspinner, he was just beneath the partnership-breaking category.
