IPL: Andre Russell breaks Chris Gayle's record

The all-rounder scored a quickfire 25-ball 64, laced with seven sixes to help the team post 208 in its 20 overs.

He created history in IPL while reaching to 200 sixes as he became the fastest to hit in terms of balls faced.

The 35-year-old reached 200 sixes in 1322 balls, claiming the record with a big margin as his compatriot reached to the mark in 1811 balls. The third on the list on Kieron Pollard who reached in 2055 balls.

Meanwhile, he also became the ninth batter to reach 200-six mark in IPL's history. The list is headed by Chris Gayle, who is the only batter to cross 350 sixes.
