Soak red beans overnight, then boil with water as required till tender.
For gravy heat 1 cup oil, add in 2 chopped onion and sauté till golden brown. Now add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and fry well.
Now add 2 tsp chili powder, salt to taste, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp coriander powder and 1 tsp cumin seeds. Fry well.
Now add 3 chopped tomatoes and fry till oil comes on top.
Add in 2 cup water and cook for a few minutes, add boiled red beans, cook till gravy thickens.
Then add 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped tomatoes, ¼ bunch of coriander leaves and 2 – 3 chopped green chilies.
Serve with chutney.
Method for Yogurt Chutney
Blend together 1 bunch of coriander leaves, 1 bunch of mint leaves, 4 – 5 green chilies and 12 cloves of garlic. Blend very well.
Add it to 250 gm yogurt and mix well.
Method for Tamarind Chutney
In a bowl mix together 125 gm tamarind paste, 1 tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp chili powder and salt to taste. Mix well.
