Microsoft unveils new Copilot+ PCs featuring AI capabilities
During an event on its Redmond campus, chief executive Satya Nadella debuted the "Copilot+" PCs, The Verge reported.

These computers have an inbuilt neural processing unit (NPU), which helps in performing more artificial intelligence (AI) oriented tasks directly on the computer instead of the cloud.

The shipping of the new computers will begin in June.

In addition, Copilot + will have a feature called "Recall." Recall tracks every activity performed on the computer, ranging from web browsing to voice chats. It will create a "history" which will be stored on the computer, making it easier for users to access when he needs to remember something they did.

Microsoft also announced a new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro Tablet which will be thinner, lighter and will have a better battery life while also being able to handle AI and heavy processor tasks.

During the launch event, Yousuf Mehdi, head of consumer marketing at Microsoft, said that 50 million AI PC’s are expected to be purchased over the next year.

He said, "Faster AI assistants that run directly on a PC will be the most compelling reason to upgrade your PC in a long time."
