Ingredients
  1. Balls:
  2. 500 g potatoes
  3. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  4. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  5. 1 tbsp dried pomegranate seeds(optional)
  6. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. 2 green chillies,finely chopped
  8. salt to taste
  9. 1/4 cup fresh coriander,chopped
  10. Batter:
  11. 1/2 cup gramflour
  12. salt to taste
  13. pinch of baking soda
  14. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  15. 1 tbsp oil
  16. water
Method
  • For the batter,mix batter ingredients and enough water for a thin consistency batter.
  • Boil and skin potatoes. Mash well.
  • Mix balls ingredients in a bowl.
  • Shape into small balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Dip in the batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  • Serve immediately with ketchup/tamarind chutney.

Can i also use immli in the recipe of aalo baday if i want to eat more sour aalo? I like this energetic dish, i tried but it was not so sour that is why i will make again it with include immli.
