SHC Issues Notices To PCB, Sports Ministry Over Danish Kaneria Petition

Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued notices to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and others in the Danish Kaneria petition to lift ban on him.

The SHC single bench comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar heard Danish Kaneria petition to become part of the restoration program of the PCB.

Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar asked that is ICC can hear appeal over the ban imposed on the player? To which the player consel apprised the court that like other players got permission to resume cricket against after the ban, Danish Kaneria as well wanted to apologize on his wrongdoings.

The court issuing notices to the PCB and ministry of sports and ordered to respond until January 15.

Regarding the filing of the case, Danish Kaneria said that he wanted to play domestic and national cricket. He also informed that he also wanted to be part of the foreign league and his name has been finalized for which he has knocked the court doors.
