Islamabad United beat Peshawar Zalmi by 15 runs in the 26th match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
Peshawar Zalmi had won the toss and opted to field against Islamabad United.
Islamabad United openers Usman Khawaja and Colin Munro gave their side an excellent start by scoring above the run rate of 8 in the power play overs.
On the other hand, Kamran Akmal hit 53 from 31 balls to keep Zalmi in the game but the run rate pressure cost him his wicket.
Gohar's over gave away 19 runs and put Peshawar 38 runs short of the target. The second last over of the game was given to Hasan Ali that cost 15 runs.
The last over of the game was given to Islamabad's most effective bowler Akif Javed and the youngster successfully defended the total to give United a 15 run win over Zalmi.
