England Women beat Kiwis to claim series
DUNEDIN - England has won the second ODI against New Zealand, claiming an unassailable 2-0 series lead. England overcame a shaky start with the bat to chase down a target of 193, getting home with seven wickets in hand and 12.2 overs to spare. Defending a modest total, New Zealand needed to start strongly with the ball and they did just that. Just three balls into England’s innings Jess Kerr struck, bowling the dangerous Danni Wyatt via an inside edge for a duck. They followed that up by running out England captain Heather Knight for eight to leave the tourists in a tricky spot at 12/2 in the third over.
