Ive just given my intermediate exam and secured 65 percent and now Masallah got addmission in Jinnah medical and dental college in pharmacy my main confusion is that I want to know whether this field is beneficial for my future or should I take addmission in some other field like BDS or MBBS. Plz help me as I am very confused in judging to what to do and my family members are not happy for what I have chosed except for my mom who is alwayz with me . Thank you and hoping for a good suggestion.

Dear Shan e Aamir:
Your cofusion regarding field choicing is a real confusion faced by major of the pre medical students. I wanted to clearify major differences in MBBS,BDS and Pharm D respectively'
MBBS/BDS: Most of the parents wanted their children DOCTOR but children wont. Now a days, Doctors (Just MBBS) are very common. No one of the doctor is well known untill and unless he get specialization (at least Diploma). If we count time of getting graduation snd specialization(5years MBBS+2years house Job+atleast 2 years for diploma or 4-5 yearsfor any fellowship= 9-13 years= a good doctor). Now days I have met so many doctors (MBBS+MBA Marketing) who are working with NGOs, Pharma Industries and Social Organizations because they have no time for higher studies. they are earning 50000-100000/month and luxurious life.
PharmD: this is a newely introduced 5yrs programme replacing BPharm (4yrs programme) accepted globally.
after doing PharmD, you can get any good job globally in clinics,hospitals,pharmacies,pharma industries and so on.
Here in Pakistan, many of my friends including me are getting more then 50000/PM packages (in factories and marketing).
So, decision is yours.I suggest, if you have got admission in PharmD, go with it. Dont waste time and secure good numbers a wide variety of jobs is waiting for you.

sir i have done my intermediate in 55% marks i just have no way to go some where else so would u guide me that can i do B.pharmacy and wil be there the name of doctor in front of my name after doing B.pharmacy instead of going china please sir guide me soon awaiting for your reply

hi, i got same problem which has resolved by reading your suggestion. now can you please help me in knowing that what entry test should i have to prepare for getting admission in pharm d ? i am just inter pass. my friend told me that i have to prepare MBBS test for getting admission. thank you. please help me out.

Pharmacy is best one and have a great scope in marketing and also in research field also doing MBA after Pharm-D it has very importance in companies as well as in hospitals.
in pharmacy PHD degree is also introduced which has its own importance.
But you don't give up this field you have chosen and Pharm-D is better from Karachi university
all the best.
