I have been short list in the merit list of BCS and BS( Geology) in Karachi university admission. what field should i select.

Being a IT professional, I would suggest you to join BCS, as this has a brighter scope in pakistan and abroad.
Also there are outsourced jobs on various online web sites, due to which you can make yourself your own boss.
