I am Mechanical Engineer from UET Taxila (2002-2005). Currently I am working in SNGPL (Sui gas) as permanent employee. Net salary is 37000 Rs. Previously I left KRL to join OGDCL as drilling engineer in 2008. There I got 01 year training in drilling. Unfortunately, due to political reasons, our batch of 270 engineers was not confirmed at that point. Then I remained jobless for 04 months before getting job in SNGPL. Now I have offer of OGDCL on 02 year contract basis. But unconventionally, they have offered me Assistant Driller with 45000 lumpsum salary and in executive grade 02. Assistant Driller is the seat of diploma holder worldwide and very tough job. I am confused because there is no technical work here in SNGPL but a lot of risk and disgrace in OGDCL. please guide

Salam Mr.Zeeshan,
After reading your post very very carefully, I would suggest you for NO.
The reason for this Credibility and second thing is Contractual job. Also the pay scale is not so high.
1 plus point that you stated about OGDCL is currently your work is not technical in SNGPL, but in OGDCL you will wok in technical level. This a very strong point but still you are not sure what will happen to you when you join OGDCL. Will they give you tecnical work or they may shift you somewhere else, this is also a point to consider.
My advise to would be to keep on trying for a Technical level job which have Credibility and High Trust level (In terms of job and company).
INSHALLAH everythign will be fine... you dont warry and keep on trying.
