Hi,
I am working as Computer Operator in KESC since last 8 years as Permanent Employee, however, I am performing the duties of Asst Manager (Import & Clearance), The Organization do not upgrade me with the plea that, please wait for policy, which is linger since long.
Please advise either I have to switch to another Organization or wait for Policy.
Further, please advice, I am interested to get Certification / Degree in Supply Chain Management because I have an extensive experience of Import & Clearance, which is a part of Supply Chain, however my education supports Finance field.

Dear Hamid,
I think so this is the major drawback of a large organization/company specially in public sector. You can’t show your actual potential or specialties or hard working to your senior bosses who they are responsible in decision making. It is actually due to a long hierarchy in administration as well as slow and complex procedures for promotions and incentives.
Anyhow, I can recommend that you have to start Certification / Degree in Supply Chain Management, simply because you have experience and interest in this field. I’m assure it will be beneficial for you at both of the places either in KESC or other…
One thing remembers! our most of the young always look that what they have degrees of past. I’ll simply say don’t look that. You can change your certifications or degree preferences any time according to your current experience, interest and demand. In Europe and America people do like the same and get success in their professional life.
