Hello Shumaila
I believe there is a lot of scope in Sociology as field of study, but it depends on how you look at it. For some people its scope is narrow because they look at it from one perspective, but there are other who look it from another perspective and see a wide range scope for this field.
I would agree with second perspective, because we can use knowledge of society (sociology) in many ways in media, marketing and business.
The important point here is not what you know, rather how you use what you know. Specially in todays ever changing nature of work. Therefore if you are passionate about sociological aspect of individuals, groups and organizations then you can use this sociological knowledge for adding value to all the stakeholders of society.
Lastly google 'careers in sociology' or read the profiles of sociologist at linkedin or other professional website and see how they are making changes in their personal and professional lives and you can take inspiration from them for your career as sociologist.
