Question (Total Replies: 4)Wednesday, April 08 2009

Sadia (Student)
Intermediate / A Level
-
karachi

I have done A-levels in 3 subject namely Urdu, business studies and accounts. I wanted to do BBA but every one is suggesting me not to go for it due to a fall in bank jobs in this field and many say that this field is so common that it has lost its importance and simultaneously I want to do a job relating to this field where I can earn a good amount. Apart from this field what other interesting field can I go for? please do guide me as I am really confused and as I will be free from my exams this June. Please do reply, I will be waiting.

ASSLAM ALIKUM,
For your kind information Mr. Ijaz CA is not a degree its a certificate although it has more value then degree.
I would suggest you to go for CA, it hard but its full of money as am myself a student of it. but am sorry to say one thing that for females it becomes a bit hard especially during articleship because there is too much work to do.
You may get a few exceptions as you doing A level but it depends on which subjects you have chosen.
Admission for CA first module i.e MODULE A, will session start from JUNE-JULY and classes will start around JULY-AUG.
for more info you can log on to www.icap.org.pk

BBA is the basic education for entering into a career where business activities are existing. It is not restricted to Banks job only. Each industry, corporation, business houses, private and public enterprises have thousands of job every month. Just go the job sites and see what are the qualifications asked for. After doing BBA you can go for MBA. Then you can go for M.Phil. If you could manage to get your qualificatioins from some reputed universities like LUMS, you can be hired while doing your masters.

In addition if you are good in accounts yu can choose to be a CA. It require hard work and vast experience, for which you can join chartered accounting firms like Furgeson etc. Once you could get the CA degree, job will hunt you and will hire you. During your job you will be assigned to various accouting jobs to private companies, and so you have a opportunity to be introduced to them and so you have a great chance to enter some reputed company. Best of luck. Ijaz
