Kanwal Shuja (Professional)
Masters Degree
M.Sc (Hons) in Food Science & Technology
Faisalabad

Dear, I have completed my M.Sc (Hons) in Food Science & Technology from UAF. I want to do some job in FSD. But unfortunately there are very few food industries in FSD even those are not hiring girls. Now I am thinking of starting EMBA (evening classes) so that I can get job in any other firm or industry in FSD (like interloop, Masood Textile, Nishat Mills etc or any other Telecommunication firm or teaching job) as they are not ready to hire a food technologist as this degree is not relevant to those firms. Kindly guide me in which subject of EMBA should i specialize (Marketing, Finance or HR) to get a reasonable job in any of the above mentioned firms.

Dear:
Please go through for MBA in Marketing and do it with full spirit. this is because, after doing MBA you will be able to get good job in Pharmaceuticals, Dairy products, Vetnary, Agriculture and Live Stock, and FMCGs.
This time you need just MBA along with your Masters.
See you Comfortable.

Dear Kanwal, A.O.A

MBA degree is very good and I think you should do MBA in Human Resource Management. Because Finance field is very tough and you have no background of Finance. So I think HR is best for you.

Assalam Alaikum

As you already completed a professional Degree and it is your base degree. Even if you do MBA or EMBA, these would act as supporting degrees. So I suggest you to explore the Job in Food technology field. You may do job in Lahore as well. There are many Food Industries near Lahore, such as Nestle,Haleeb, Bottling plants etc.

Best Regards
Rizwan

Sir, which institute in Faisalabad will suit me for EMBA? I am thinking of EMBA from Preston university as it gives just one year program, other institutes complete EMBA program in 2 years which is a very long period. Is Preston University has any standard? & its degree is considered valid for job?

Dear Miss Kanwal,
If you want to go for EMBA then choose HR because you already have done your masters in very strange field as compare to the environment of Pakistani market.
By choosing HR it will double your credibility instead of doing MBA in Finance or any other subject.
MAY ALLAH HELP AND BLESS YOU
Asif
