نہ چاہا تھا ہم نے تو ہم سے جدا ہو
مگر کس نے روکا ہے بہتی ہوا کو
جو ہم چاہتے ہیں وہ کیسے بھلا ہو
اے جاتے برس تجھ کو سونپا خدا کو
مبارک مبارک نیا سال سب کو
مبارک گھڑی میں یہ ہم عہد کر لیں
بصد شان ہم زندگی میں سنور لیں
گلوں کی طرح گلستاں میں نکھر لیں
بنیں ہم بھی سورج گگن میں ابھر لیں
مبارک مبارک نیا سال سب کو
اندھیروں نے لوٹی اجالوں کی دولت
اڑا لے گیا وقت اک خواب راحت
نہ لوٹے گی بیتی ہوئی کوئی ساعت
جو اب بھی نہ جاگے تو ہوگی قیامت
مبارک مبارک نیا سال سب کو
امیدیں ہیں راہیں عزائم سواری
خبر دے رہی ہے یہ باد بہاری
مہکتی ہوئی منزلیں پیاری پیاری
کہ صدیوں سے تکتی ہیں راہیں ہماری
