آج دھرتی پہ، جب آنا تم
میرے دیس میں،خوشیاں لانا تم
میرے دیس کے،سارے لوگوں نے
مجبور--- بچارے لوگوں نے
ہر سانس پہ، زخم اٹھائے ہیں
ہر روز ہی اشک بہائے ہیں
اِن اداس ،مغموم ،دلوں کے لیے
پیامِ مسرت۔۔۔ لانا تم
اے نئے سال کی، پہلی صبح
آج دھرتی پہ ،جب آنا تم
اس دیس میں جو، فسادی ہیں
انتشاری ہیں، عنادی ہیں
جو سکون دلوں کا، لوٹتے ہیں
جانے وہ کیوں نہیں ٹوٹتے ہیں
ان پر۔۔۔ بجلی گرانا تم
اے نئے سال کی، پہلی صبح
آج دھرتی پہ،جب آنا تم
اس دیس کے، بوڑھے، بچوں میں
معصوم اور، من کے سچوں میں
مدت سے سوئے، شاہینوں میں
مدھم پڑے، نگینوں میں
پھر زندہ تمنا۔۔۔ جگانا تم
اے نئے سال کی ،پہلی صبح
آج دھرتی پہ، جب آنا تم
میرے دیس میں ،خوشیاں لانا تم
