ہو گئی بات پرانی پھر بھی
یاد ہے مجھ کو زبانی پھر بھی
موجۂ غم نے تو دم توڑ دیا
رہ گیا آنکھ میں پانی پھر بھی
میں نے سوچا بھی نہیں تھا اس کو
ہو گئی شام سہانی پھر بھی
چشم نم نے اسے جاتے دیکھا
دل نے یہ بات نہ مانی پھر بھی
لوگ ارزاں ہوئے جاتے ہیں یہاں
بڑھتی جاتی ہے گرانی پھر بھی
بریدہ لائے ہو دربار میں تم
یاد ہے شعلہ بیانی پھر بھی
بھول جوتے ہیں مسافر رستہ
