رہتا تھا میرے ساتھ جو پرچھائی کی طرح
ا ب چل د یا ہے چھوڑ کے ہرجائی کی طرح
ہے کون ایسا ہم سفر بتائیے ہمیں
ہرو قت ساتھ جو رہے تنہائی کی طرح
ہم وقت کے ہاتھو ںمیں کھلونا بنے رہے
ا ور ٹوٹتے رہے تیری انگٹرائی کی طرح
تیرے بغیر زندگی کی لَے پہ جانِ من
بجتے رہے ہیں روز ہم شہنائی کی طر ح
انسان اپنے آپ میں بنتا ہے بہت کچھ
لیکن ہے نامکمل پڑھائی کی طرح
یارو ہمارے ملک میں ایسے بھی لوگ ہیں
جو ظلم بہت کرتے ہیں کمائی کی طرح
