بے خودی بَخدا بڑھے اِس سے
تیری خوشبو شراب لگتی ہے
اپنی قسمت پہ اب نہ چھوڑیں گے
اپنی قسمت خراب لگتی ہے
جن کو تڑپائے بھوک راتوں میں
اُن کو روٹی عذاب لگتی ہے
جس کو انجام تک پڑھے نہ بنے
زندگی وہ کتاب لگتی ہے
ہو گئی ختم دل کی بے چینی
اب بُرائی ثواب لگتی ہے
چوٹ دے دے کے پوچھتے ہیں نوید
آپ کو بھی جناب لگتی ہے”؟"
