    Former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak has announced to quit from party position. He said that he had been watching the political situation in the country for several days, and had already condemned the events of May 9.

    During the press conference, Pervez Khattak announced to leave the party presidency.

    Parvez Khattak said that the political environment of the country is very bad and it is difficult to run in this environment. I will decide the future course of action after consulting friends and party workers.

    He further said that the propaganda that is being done is not true, he took a thoughtful decision.

    Earlier, Asad Umar has also resigned from the post of Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

    It should be noted that a 7-member committee was formed by Imran Khan to negotiate with the government, in which the name of Pervez Khattak was also included.
