Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that : the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Indeed, he who does not ask Allah, he gets angry with him.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ لَمْ يَسْأَلِ اللَّهَ يَغْضَبْ عَلَيْهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رَوَى وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو الْمَلِيحِ اسْمُهُ صَبِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعْت مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُهُ:‏‏‏‏ وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْفَارِسِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏نَحْوَهُ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو اللہ سے سوال نہیں کرتا ۱؎ اللہ اس سے ناراض اور ناخوش ہوتا ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: وکیع اور کئی راویوں نے یہ حدیث ابوالملیح سے روایت کی ہے، ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں، ابوالملیح کا نام صبیح ہے، میں نے محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری کو ایسا ہی کہتے ہوئے سنا ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ انہیں فارسی بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔
