Narrated Suwaid bin Muqarrin Al-Muzani: We were seven brothers without a servant except one, and one of us slapped her, so the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered us to free her.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا سَبْعَةَ إِخْوَةٍ مَا لَنَا خَادِمٌ إِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَطَمَهَا أَحَدُنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُعْتِقَهَا قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَكَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ فِي الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَطَمَهَا عَلَى وَجْهِهَا

سوید بن مقرن مزنی رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   صورت حال یہ تھی کہ ہم سات بھائی تھے، ہمارے پاس ایک ہی خادمہ تھی، ہم میں سے کسی نے اس کو طمانچہ مار دیا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم دیا کہ ہم اس کو آزاد کر دیں۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اسے حصین بن عبدالرحمٰن سے کئی لوگوں نے روایت کیا ہے، بعض لوگوں نے اپنی روایت میں یہ ذکر کیا ہے کہ سوید بن مقرن مزنی نے «لطمها على وجهها» کہا یعنی ”اس نے اس کے چہرے پر طمانچہ مارا“۔ ۳- اس باب میں ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے بھی روایت ہے۔
